Greenbush Child Caring, Inc. (GCC) is a non-profit school-age child care organization that has been in operation since 1983.
GCC is made up of a volunteer Board of Directors, Executive Director, Program Director, Office Manager, Bookkeeper, Site Directors and direct care employees. Together the employees and the Board of Directors establish policies and procedures concerning the general operation of the agency. Our employees are committed to providing quality child care. GCC provides its employees with ongoing training to ensure that we reach a high standard of care for each child. We consistently evaluate our programs and survey our families to ensure that we meet or exceed parental expectations.
Our mission is to provide school-age children with developmentally appropriate child care, along with recreational and enrichment activities in a positive environment.
GCC Summer Program Update
Greenbush Child Caring will be offering a summer program at Genet Elementary for East Greenbush Central School District students. We are diligently working on the details and hope to release them by mid-March. We have received many parent inquiries and want you to rest assure that we will be providing care, using our safe COVID-19 protocols.
Please note that we are exploring the option of offering two programs. One that stays on site and one that will travel once or twice per week for swim and/or hiking trips. Travel would be limited to local attractions to meet the requirement of short rides. Due to reduced bus capacity and the cost involved with traveling, the cost of that program will be higher.
Update to GCC Programs in the East Greenbush Central School District
Beginning March 10th, we will be offering our before-school and after-school programs 3 days per week, to accommodate in person learning every other Wednesday. The additional monthly cost for two Wednesdays is $15 for the before-school program and $22 for the after-school program. If you are already enrolled in one or both of those programs and would like to add Wednesday’s please reply to the email sent on 2/25/21 by 3/1/21 so changes to your account can be completed.
If you are registered in RAP at St. Mary’s or Genet on Wednesdays, please reply to confirm which group your child is in (A or B) so we can remove that program (every other Wednesday) from your account.
Once you confirm, you will not need to take any other action; we will update your enrollment.
Please note, effective 3/10/21 RAP will no longer operate at Genet on Wednesdays. We will only be using St. Mary’s Church; we will move your child’s enrollment to St Mary’s.
